Current Donor Campaigns
As many of you know, this concert is by far our most ambitious undertaking to date in every sense - the venue, the programming, and our mission-driven community partnerships. It is exciting - and expensive! We appreciate that not everyone has the resources to provide extra support, and that is perfectly fine. But if you can afford it, we would greatly appreciate your support of either (or both!) of the special campaigns we’re running for this concert series. Thanks for considering.
How can you support the Chorale’s mission?
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Lehigh Valley Chorale makes its fair share of requests for donations, sponsorships, grants and other forms of financial support. We also strive to do more than to "Get Back" - we also give back in ways that benefit both our singer community and the broader Lehigh Valley community.
We are currently welcoming donors at any level to support our accessible ticket program and some singer care and feeding needs that are specific to this concert series. Information about each campaign is listed below.
The Lehigh Valley Chorale is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations to the Chorale are tax-deductible and are also eligible for employer charitable matching donations to double your impact. LVC donors will be acknowledged in our program as well as our website and social media.
We can take donations via check, credit card, PayPal, or Venmo. Please indicate “accessible tickets” or “care and feeding” in the memo.

Campaign #1: Accessible Tickets
According to 2022 Census data, 11% of the population of Northampton and Lehigh County is living below the poverty level, and a recent United Way survey found that 47% of Greater Lehigh Valley households struggle to afford basic expenses like rent, food and child care. This context underpins one of the Lehigh Valley Chorale’s founding principles: providing our community with access to the arts regardless of their ability to pay. We have historically offered free general admission tickets for those who need them; on average, approximately 30% of our audiences have received these no-cost tickets, which have been fully subsidized by the Chorale.
Beginning with the 2024-2025 concert season, we are increasing our impact by collaborating with local school districts and select community partners to provide some of our free tickets to our concerts in a targeted manner. For example, for our upcoming December show, we are donating 120 tickets to students and families of the Allentown School District. This is in addition to the 240 tickets that we are offering free to the public without restrictions.
The total cost to the Chorale for these tickets is $3,600. We are currently welcoming donors at any level to assist in underwriting this program and are pleased to announce that at the time of this email, we have received $1,025 in donations toward our goal.
Campaign #2: Singer Care and Feeding
The Lehigh Valley Chorale works to ensure no singing member will ever be excluded due to financial barriers. Although we charge a nominal membership fee for each concert cycle, we offer no-questions-asked waivers of our membership dues to any singer who requests one. For example, this season, 5% of our membership received a dues waiver.
Our upcoming December performance is ambitious and exciting, and also unfortunately places new burdens on all of our singers. For example, our singers need to pay to park for a dress rehearsal and the concert itself. Additionally, this will be the first time that we are performing two shows in a single day.
The Lehigh Valley Chorale has allocated $3,000 to support our singers through:
On-site catering for the dinner break between our matinee and evening shows
Need-based parking vouchers upon request (up to $18.40 per recipient)
We are currently welcoming donors at any level to assist in underwriting these items to help support our singers. In addition, if you have any connections to individuals/organizations that may be willing to provide us with a discount on catering needs, please contact Dave at lvchorale@gmail.com.
