Where Hope Is Found

Saturday, December 14 @ 2:00pm

Saturday, December 14 @ 7:00pm

Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N 6th Street, Allentown, PA 18101-1431

Nick Sienkiewicz, Artistic Director, Lehigh Valley Chorale

Joy Hirokawa, Artistic/Executive Director, Mosaic Youth Chorus

Join the Lehigh Valley Chorale in celebrating connection, compassion, and courage during this holiday season with our winter concert series Where Hope is Found. This concert will be a nuanced exploration of life’s emotions and experiences – the joys and sorrows; the dreams and fears – and ultimately, will remind us all to look for sources of hope even in times of darkness.

The Lehigh Valley Chorale will be joined by the Mosaic Youth Chorus, led by Dr. Joy Hirokawa, and a chamber orchestra of seasoned local musicians.

Audiences will be delighted by familiar holiday favorites, such as Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas” and Hugo Blanco’s “Mi Burrito Sabanero,” and roused by thrilling pieces like Jeffrey Ames’s “Gloria Fanfare” and gospel legend Mervyn Warren’s “Hallelujah!,” from Quincy Jones’ Grammy award-winning album Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration. Our concert will close with the premiere of Nicholas Sienkiewicz’s “Where Hope Is Found,” an affirmation that hope is not simply discovered but created, by all of us.

We encourage you to be a part of a concert event that will leave you feeling hopeful and inspired. Get your tickets today before they sell out!

We strongly recommend that you purchase your parking in advance for the concerts and consider carpooling. Here’s why:

  • Disney on Ice is performing at the PPL Center at the same time as our concerts. The good news is that the Allentown parking decks have special flat-rate event parking on that day and you can purchase your parking in advance online. The parking reservation pages say Disney on Ice because that is the official parking event through Allentown Parking Authority for all garages on those days and times. The parking you purchase from the links below will be valid for our concert events.

  • The Arts Walk Deck is half a block away and the flat rate is $6.90 per event. There are a limited number of public spaces available at this location. The Allentown Transportation Deck is directly across the street and the flat rate is $9.20 per event. These are the parking options closest to Miller Symphony Hall.
